Young Producers Take Center Stage at Arkansas Heifer Show

Exhibitors gain hands-on experience while learning the skills needed to build future cow-calf operations.

BATESVILLE, Ark. (RFD News) — Arkansas’ cattle industry is helping prepare the next generation of producers through the annual Commercial Pen Heifer Show.

Hosted by the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association with support from other sponsors, the event gives young exhibitors hands-on experience raising and evaluating commercial heifers while learning more about the beef industry.

About 53% of Arkansas farms are involved in cattle production, primarily through cow-calf operations.
