Justin Wilson’s Cajun Buttermilk Biscuits

Fluffy, golden, and full of Southern charm—these Cajun Buttermilk Biscuits from Mr. Justin Wilson are quick to make and impossible to resist!

Servings: 10-12 biscuits
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups of buttermilk

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees. Sift the dry ingredients together. Blend in the shortening and buttermilk and mix well.
  2. Roll the biscuit dough out on waxed paper covered with flour. Cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter, pinch them off, and place them in a greased pan.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
A spicy sauce made with chili sauce and crushed red pepper flakes gives these Spicy Beef Back Ribs amazing flavor.
The key to success when cooking ribs is the low temperature and several hours of cooking time. However, this beef primal cut also contains popular tender, juicy cuts of meat like Ribeye Roast and Ribeye Steaks.
The Round Primal is home to lean, inexpensive cuts from the rump and hind legs. The muscles in this area are used for movement, so the beef is leaner and less tender. These cuts are often sold as roasts, steaks for marinating, or even Ground Beef.
