NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD News) — Recording artist and veteran studio singer Steve Amerson has embarked on a new mission of bringing spiritual encouragement to members of Congress and their staffs on Capitol Hill.
Amerson joined us on Thursday’s Market Day Report to discuss his ministry, which began in 2014 after he was invited to participate in the first weekly worship service held at the U.S. Capitol in more than a century.
He said he now travels to Washington twice a month, delivering handwritten notes with Scripture and words of encouragement to lawmakers and congressional staff.
His recording career has included vocal work on Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas and Home Alone, among many other productions.
