JACKSON, Miss. (RFD News) — More than 60 Mississippi teachers spent part of their summer break learning about agriculture through the Mississippi Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom workshop.
Hosted by the MSFB’s State Women’s Leadership Committee, the two-day workshop gave educators hands-on experience through classroom activities and farm visits. Participants can also earn continuing education credits.
Teachers say the workshop gives them new ways to incorporate ag education in their classrooms, help students understand where their food comes from, and explore future careers in agriculture.
This year marked the third time the Mississippi Farm Bureau has hosted the workshop.
