Strong Bull Demand Drives Jorgensen Land & Cattle’s Herd Expansion Plans

Jorgensen Land & Cattle shared updates on bull demand, herd rebuilding and genetics during Moly Manufacturing’s annual Beef and Greet.

LORRAINE, Kan. (RFD News) — Moly Manufacturing recently welcomed cattle producers to its annual Beef and Greet, where industry leaders shared updates on their operations and the cattle market.

Vice President of Genetic Services for Jorgensen Land & Cattle Larry Gran said the operation has already sold out of bulls for the year, marking the first time that’s happened in quite some time.

Looking ahead, Gran said Jorgensen plans to expand its genetic partnerships to offer more bulls and is also working toward developing a commercial heifer sale. He said improved moisture conditions could increase demand as producers begin rebuilding their herds.

Gran said Jorgensen’s longtime partnership with Moly Manufacturing made the Beef and Greet a natural fit, adding that events like the gathering provide an opportunity to connect with both current and potential customers.
