SERVINGS: 30 miniature tarts
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
COOK TIME: 20 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 oz of ground beef (at least 93% lean)
  • Half a cup of chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • Half a cup of prepared mild or medium taco sauce
  • Half a teaspoon of ground cumin

  • 2 packages of frozen mini phyllo shells (30 shells total)
  • Half a cup of shredded Mexican cheese blend

Instructions

  3. Add taco sauce, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture is thoroughly heated.
  4. Place phyllo shells on a rimmed baking sheet. Scoop the beef mixture evenly into the shells. Top evenly with cheese. Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the shells are crispy and the cheese is melted.
Cook’s Tip: Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed Ground Beef. Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160ºF. Color is not a reliable indicator of ground beef doneness.
