AUSTIN, TEXAS (RFD NEWS) — Rodeo Austin is drawing thousands of young exhibitors, all working toward a moment in the show ring. For many, that journey started long before they ever arrived.
Competitor Tylar deCordova is no stranger to stock shows — RFD Network’s Kirbe Schnoor caught up with her at previous stock shows throughout the season and past years, covering her rodeo career.
For deCordova, this is a family affair. Her parents work in the cattle business, and she has competed with her sister in previous shows. While she has been in the industry since childhood, she encourages others to join as well.
“I’d tell them not to be scared to do it. It’s a really fun thing,” deCordova said, “I know some people who have come to me and said they want to show as I do. It’s a really great thing.”
